The 2021 Biennial Conference will be held in:
May 20-22 2021
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 9th Biennial Meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Psychopathy (SSSP 2021)! The conference will be held between Thursday 20th and Saturday 22nd May 2021 at the St Raphael Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus and will be hosted by Kostas Fanti, members of his lab, and a local conference committee. The conference will have the financial support of the Cypriot Psychological Association and the department of Psychology of the University of Cyprus. Simultaneously, within the context of the coronavirus, we are developing contingency plans to allow for a variety of other virtual or in-person possibilities.
COVID-19: The health of SSSP members and their families is of paramount importance to the Executive Committee and the 2021 Program Committee. Therefore, due to the ongoing pandemic and its associated risks and uncertainties (e.g., availability and prices of flights, institutional and national restrictions on travel), we are preparing for the possibility that the meeting might be partially or fully online, as the worst-case scenario.
Our aim is to develop the most exciting and impactful program that we can, reflecting the broad base and research of the SSSP. We look forward to announcing the invited program once speakers have been confirmed.
IMPORTANT DATES: Please note that submission portal will open on September 1st 2020 (more details to follow) with a submission deadline on November 1st 2020. Decisions will be communicated by December 15th 2020.
You will find a link to the submission portal on this page.
We are aware that the public health guidance and travel restrictions are in flux and will remain so for some time, so we are planning every aspect of this biennial to support flexibility and inclusivity. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the program committee.
We look forward to learning more about your research and to having you join us in Cyprus in May 20-22, 2021 for another inspiring and productive SSSP meeting!
